August 07, 2006: New Images Released for Abstract and Crater Gallery

Two new images have been added to the Mars Art Gallery.

In the Crater Gallery, the image "Above Gusev Crater" featuring a oblique 3D view of Gusev Crater has been released. The view is a simulated one created using Mars Global Surveyor MOLA (Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter) data. This is the second image of Gusev Crater to be displayed in the Crater Gallery, the other being Along Ma'adim Vallis to Gusev Crater

In the Abstract Gallery, a simulated 3D images of cascading dunes has been added.
