April 11, 2005: Mars As Art Program Featured at Astronomy Day Event at Harper College

Jim Plaxco's presentation "Mars As Art" is one of the featured programs at the upcoming Astronomy Day sponsored by the Northwest Suburban Astronomers. The "Mars As Art" program features many unique views of Mars as captured by the Mars Global Surveyor mission. In addition, an elementary discussion of the image processing techniques used to create the images being shown is provided.

In addition, Mr Plaxco will also be giving his "The Future of Human Space Exploration" presentation which explains NASA's "New Vision for Space Exploration."

Activities begin at 5:30pm Saturday April 16, 2005 in Building Z at William Rainey Harper College in Palatine IL.
