December 19, 2006: Mars Mission Image Processing Presentation For Pixel Camera Club

Jim Plaxco gave the presentation "Mars Mission Image Processing" at a meeting of the Pixel Camera Club, a club devoted to digital photography.

Meeting at the Schaumburg Public Library, the well attended presentation featured a discussion of image processing as it relates to imaging data returned by the various Mars missions. Also discussed were the artistic aspects of converting mission image data into attractive pictures that serve as educational tools for explaining Martian geology.
